Hallowing Consecration
The Lovely Temple with Lofty Towers:

Tiruvannamalai Temple, the outstanding monument of great architectural beauty and historic importance that interests the students of art and architecture and sanctity and subtle spiritual atmosphere where the mind is stilled and the heart is calmed, and man experience an inner quietness and enjoy the most sacred permanent and enriching peace which is alien and not of this world, theistically represents India's rich religions tradition, reassuring ethical heritage and renowned cultural glorification.  As the pride of Tamilnadu and beauty of India this lovely temple with lofty toward rises majestically and is calm, serene and silent like the very lord it enshrines.  Growing into spiritual fame, the temple became a sacred centre of pilgrimage.  The presiding deity is Lord Shiva in the form of Phallic symbol.

Renovation:

For well over a quarter of a century periodic structured renovations and perpetuating consecrations as stipulated by scriptural guidelines have not been carried out in their world of famous temple for reasons unknown.  However, it remained for a great sage of our age... to instruct in principle temple authorities to renovated the temple and solemnize it with the sanctifying consecration on the auspicious dawn of 27.06.2002.

The site of the temple evokes in all a deep sense of reverence and an aesthetic joy both by its location at the foot of the Hill and its physical proximity to this lovely manifestation of the Lord of Light.

8. the sanction sanctorium each with an over head dome crowned with globoid copper vessel one for Annamalai and another for Unnnamalai to well paved basement in richly sculptured pillars of strength and stability and halls of all dimensions - all beautifully pillared meant for different spiritual purposes and finely chiselled friezes around the central shrine of Love, and adorning features and figures,  illustrating depictions and elevations and all other portions are restored to realistically good, sharp and striking original condition by restructuring dressing, touching, cleaning and polishing from their time-dimmed, weather-worm, nature decayed states of obscurity and bluntness.

A New End Majestic Look:

The temple now stands majestically as a stately symbol of serenity, issues a vital glow, and wears a  brilliant festive look end a colorful charming cast where colors sing carvings speak, contours breather, glossy surfaces greet.  With a rich, elaborate and rioters  ornamentation, the temple makes an appeal to the people with a vision and message.  The panoramic view of the hill and the temple gives an exalted spiritual thrill and an enthralling soulful elation to the sectiers of serence spirit.  It offers a visual feast, the veritable spiritual regale to every wayward viewer.  The shining colors and the sparkling tints, and the sharp contours and striking features stun everyone.  The temple fascinates man with an inscrutable mystery and with an irresistible architectural marvel that are at once most striking, noble and inspiring.  The graceful tower catches the eye from a distance.

The beauty and glory of the hill can be seen and admired from many vantage points lie on various paths.  The magnificent view of the temple that one gets moves his soul, and enslaves his spirit.  To see the hill in all its full glory is a rare and refreshing experience.  The happiness one feels in the stillness and silences of the hill and the sublimity of its surroundings is a special kind.  The temple with the hill at is background when viewed from the east

Consecration

The whole world awaits to witness with some awesome reverence the etherealizing consecration, beginning from

1. Systematic setting up of sacrificial tires.

2. orderly array of vessels with in caused water.

3. Recital of vedic mantras.

4. Collection of water kept in the vessels

5. Pouring it on the globular vase fixed as a crow on the dance of sanction sanctorum so as to sanctify it.

6. sprinkling of the sanctifying water over the entire area.

devotees joyously sing thiruppugazh and chant rhymes of lords of glory and praise his names.

A great congregation of devotees would be there from all over the world to witness the solein consecration which would make Thiruvannamali as the holiest of holy santuary where minds are opened to great concepts all filled with perpetual seventy with most sublime ideas and with uninterrupted cheerfulness to please others and  to be please in themselves.

Hearts are warmed with spiritual pleasure souls are enriched with impulses and aspiration.

The Lover of nature finds an ideal spot here for mediation and contemplation.  The weary travelers locate refreshing restful place for their tired limits.
