On 16th Jan 2008 falls "Thiruvoodal festival"which means lovers' tiff between Swamy and Ambal -the Divine couple Saint Sambandhar engagesfor conciliating between the two. From the early hours today Abishekam performed at the temple to start the procession by 5 A M .After Blessing the Nandhis en route the Holy Couple of Periya NayakaR {Protagonist Of the Universe }and His Consort found their way out through the thittivaasal-a small entry at the east of the temple campus other than the Raaja kopuram .On blessing the Sun in the morning at thitti vaasal the procession went around the temple thrice .

Unlike other circumambulance this time people of this locale can have their darshan as mandakappadi on paying a small sum to temple .Thus hundreds pay and avail this -as once a year chance offering clothing etc to the Holy couple The procession consists of Thani amman and sambhandar {one of the Nayanmar the Mystic poet } too. In the evening the Couple would have a tiff and get separated. Sambhandhar performs a compromise between the two attempting a conciliation .However Devi returns to temple unsettled.

The lord loses all his Jewels thieved out and tries for reunion tomorrow after retrievig the jewels .This will be called maruvoodal.........thus goes the myth here to preach the world that even Celestial Couple do have differences between them but the end should be only reunion even at the cost of a loss in economy. Yes ...............

U may ask ...."who will play a genuine role of attempting a reunion at times of misunderstanding between couple in this world Today?"
